IMportant interior rooms
The cockpit of Air Force one is just as advanced as it is sophisticated. The pilots of Air Force One must have the most advanced of pilot training, with a background in the US Air Force. All defense systems, mechanisms, and operations can be conducted from this area.
The main purpose of the plane is to provide the safest and most relaxing experience for president himself. The picture shown on the left is the president's personal suite. When he/she is not working the president may use this room to relax, watch television, rest, or even get a personal massage.
The world class communication center in the White House is echoed on board this aircraft. The Air Force One communications room (shown left) contains a full meeting area, 85 secure telephones, many fax machines, and 19 televisions to keep updated on current news situations. This acts as the situation room in the sky.
Media reporters are also allowed on board the aircraft. They are allowed on in order to follow the president and the daily operations he/she partakes in. They sit in the general admittance area which is similar to first-class on a normal aircraft. Passengers will have access to full service on board the aircraft. Up to 70 passengers are allowed on one flight.
The plane offers full service food 24 hours a day. The kitchen facility is home to a number of different cooks and food preparers. Security measures are taken to make sure the food is healthy and safe for all members on board, especially the president.
